About Us

Torque is Power

A torsion spring creates force through twisting around an axis. The result is torque, a measure of force. The key to longevity for the torsion spring is its elegant simplicity – just a humble spring you can twist. It has been a time-tested essential component to many military and industrial applications for centuries, so much so that we now take it and its operating principles for granted.

The Romans used torsion springs to generate energy from their early field artillery piece, known as the ballista. Today, a torsion spring is the key force generator for the common mousetrap.

Our philosophy centers around making abstract operations principles digestible and focusing on leadership and speed to results as the force generator. We won’t dazzle you with jargon but instead through practical guidance and solutions built through years as industry practitioners. Irrespective of industry, most supply chain principles and frameworks are universal. How they are applied is where we help you excel.

From tackling complex strategic projects to offering direction through tumultuous operating conditions, Torsion Spring Partners will help your business refine its supply chain capabilities and generate the needed torque to scale in tomorrow’s increasingly competitive landscape.

Erik Rosenow

Founder, Managing Partner

Erik is a 12-year supply chain, process improvement, and operations leadership veteran with experience in defense, eCommerce, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, and automotive sectors. Erik uses a fast-paced, customer-centric, and relationship-focused methodology to quickly assess a business need, prioritize resources, and offer solutions.

Among his notable work, he is most proud of his leadership of a rapid turnaround of a struggling Amazon fulfillment center, where he developed new, but intuitive methods that built on established Amazon processes. That work made the site a nationwide leader in inbound efficiency, nearly doubling its performance over the course of 6 months.

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Erik designed and then directed the 60-day rollout of a last-mile delivery program to 12 metro areas for online vehicle seller, Vroom. That program provided a substantial improvement to the customer experience and delivery quality at a time when consumer sentiment towards delivery changed almost instantaneously.
Erik is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and served four years as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He welcomes any conversations about artillery and credits his time in that field for his passion for solving supply chain problems.

Erik lives in the Houston area with his wife and 2 daughters.

He completed a B.A. at the University of California Irvine, an M.B.A. from Rutgers University, and an M.S. Finance at Georgetown University. More importantly, he is a PADI certified scuba diver, a 2nd-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and is completing a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.

Some reasons to work together

We are Practitioners First and Foremost

Our recommendations come from years of creating and growing high performance business units and developing repeatable best practices. We are not professional consultants. We are professionals.

We Provide Rapid Customized Solutions

Time is our most valuable asset, so we won’t waste yours. Businesses are all unique, so our services are custom tailored to your company’s growth stage, industry, and objectives.

Your Business, Your Way,
Our Support

Growing a business is a personal journey. We support your way, whatever it is and offer insights and practices that drive scale and resilience in your business. That’s it.

Our Guiding Principles

Ask Challenging
Questions

We believe it is just as important to understand why an action is taken as it is to execute that action successfully. If we do not understand how something came to be, the results we generate are just a product of chance and not skill. We will ask hard questions to draw out assumptions and probe the thought-process to better understand your business. While it may make some conversations difficult, we believe it leads nicely into our next principle.

Develop Strong
Relationships

The time we work with clients much more productive and engaging when we are having fun. We have fun when we are learning alongside you. We believe this cascades throughout your organization and your supply chain. If you and your vendors, employees, investors, and other stakeholders develop a great working relationship and relish opportunities to interact, you have something really special that is hard to knock-off.

Equip Clients with Knowledge, Capability, and Energy

We hope you’ll share our enthusiasm for the fascinating and interconnected aspects that make supply chain operations challenging but rewarding. We will eagerly share our knowledge, discoveries, and new trends with you because we will learn as much from you as you will from us. That’s a lot of fun.

Value Substance
Over Form

We will not speak to you in nebulous consulting speak or inject bland corporate jargon into our interactions, but instead will communicate naturally and professionally. Your time is important, so we will be clear, concise, and to the point.

Invite Client’s Customer to Every Meeting

All of our guidance will be grounded to your customers first. So while they will not literally be invited to every meeting, we will always consider the customer experience in all of our interactions.
